Burlap and Lace Inspired Arrival Lunch
They say “the beauty is all in details”. And so a casual-style arrival lunch was designed with a touch of rustic whimsy from floor to ceiling; the restaurant-Olio was transformed into a rustic vintage themed outdoorsy barn with lace and burlap décor. The simplicity of distinctive décor fashioned from vintage burlap and lace turned out to be apt.
Centerpieces comprised of wrapped mason and jam jars, some vintage pieces and bottles with burlap and lace embellishments complimenting the decorative flowers and hanging arrangements. Burlap and lace runners accented the tables.
The audience was held captive by famous guitarist Lawrie D’Souza who enthralled one and all with an eclectic selection of timeless music.
Bringing Morocco to Mumbai
For the second leg of the celebrations, the grand ballroom was transformed into a mini Morocco by infusing the right amount of color, print and quaint boho artifacts, décor and flowers. Moroccan style tents, sweet tea cocktails, oriental candles, colorful woven rugs on the floor and the smell of jasmine in the air transported guests to a sensory journey similar to what Morocco is like.
Rich patterned textile furniture and cushions were strewn around, with antique Bedouin lanterns which worked well into the theme as centerpieces. For an ambient setting lots of mini candlelight housed in gorgeous Moroccan lamps were used.
The evening was set off by amusing Shehzaad Khan and his talented Team of entertainers, followed by an open dance floor, where the crowd swayed to electric music spun out by DJ Nelson.
MM Café
Next morning, Gadda Da vida Lounge was transformed into customized café which was named after the couple’s initials as MM Café (Manoj-Madhulika Café)
