Sangeet Shyamala At BW Masterpiece Conclave & Art Excellence Awards

Sangeet Shymala, which is a multi-disciplinary space believes in versatile cultural education and creates, nurtures, and promotes performing and fine arts with a vision to enlighten young creative minds that are fresh and receptive to an artistic awakening. The institution was founded in Delhi in 1974. Smt. Som Tewari, was the Honorary Founder Director and the driving force of this institution.

Sangeet Shyamala put together two performances at the BW Businessworld’s, BW Masterpiece 40 under 40 and Art Excellence, Conference & Awards, 2025. This conclave put the spotlight on the dynamically growing Indian contemporary art market with the inaugural edition. The day-long conclave celebrated visionaries, innovators, and path-breakers shaping India’s dynamic art landscape.

The following artists performed at this conclave -

Arupa Lahiry, is a passionate dancer from Kolkata, whose search for excellence in Bharatnatyam took her to study this art form from the legendary Smt. Chitra Visweswaran in Chidambaram Academy of Performing Arts, Chennai. She has performed across India and internationally in countries like Canada, France, and Malaysia. She is an Ustad Bismillah Khan Puraskar awardee.

 

The artistic director of Arzoo Dance Theatre, Deepti Gupta is a dancer & choreographer of the dance form Kathak. She studied theatre and dance in Canada and is associated as an artiste with organisations such as ICCR, Doordarshan, and The Ministry of Culture. She has performed at major festivals internationally in countries such as South Africa, Mongolia, China, Bahrain, London, Dubai, and Malaysia.
