As the Official 5G Network of the NFL, Verizon has joined forces with the league to enhance fan experiences and bring football enthusiasts closer to the action throughout the season. As anticipation builds for Super Bowl LIX, set to take place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on 9 February, 2025, Verizon is gearing up with an exciting initiative. The brand is hosting a nationwide FanFest, offering free celebrations on Super Bowl Sunday in stadiums and venues across all 30 NFL markets.
Each FanFest location will showcase unique local attractions. Still, all will allow attendees to watch the Big Game, interact with hometown NFL legends and players, and enjoy performances by team cheerleaders, local artists, DJs, and live bands like the Mariachi Rams and the Houston Texans Gameday Presentation Team. The events will also feature tailgate games and delicious food crafted by local chefs, including Stacey Weber, who leads culinary operations for the Arizona Cardinals, and Rocco Whalen, owner of Fahrenheit Restaurants.
At select locations, including MetLife, SoFi, and Nissan Stadiums, football fans will enjoy exclusive, ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ access to iconic venues. Activities include standing on the 50-yard line, snapping selfies at themed photo spots, spiking a ball in the end zone, touring locker rooms, and participating in on-field experiences. In select cities, fans can also purchase exclusive team memorabilia.
“Super Bowl LIX is the most anticipated sporting event of the year, but few get to experience it in person; we wanted to bring that collective excitement and energy to fans across the country with once-in-a-lifetime access they’ll never forget,” Leslie Berland, EVP and CMO, Verizon, mentioned in a statement. “Verizon is the only brand that can do something like this; we’re leveraging the power of our sponsorships, and national and local partnerships across the country to put our customers at the centre of this incredible event.”
Verizon customers can claim tickets to FanFest on a first-come, first-served basis through a dedicated microsite and bring a limited number of guests. Starting 9 January, 2025, the My Verizon app will feature 30 days of giveaways leading up to game day, offering prizes such as autographed merchandise and virtual ‘ask a player’ sessions. Additionally, Verizon plans to host more events in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX, with details to be announced soon.
