The idea is sure to work in events like EDM festivals or concerts, where people do not mind shelling out a little extra money for comfort. 2-Meet and Greet with celebs If your next event has celebrity presence or performances than as an event manager you can organize a special meet and greet with their fans to earn a little more before the event begins. Think about it, you have already paid the celebs might as well cover their costs through the meet and greet sessions. Fans are willing to pay a lot today for a chance to get photo clicked with their favorite celebrities and performers. One can also sell their autographed merchandise and bring in more money before your event has actually begun. 3-Pre-event or Post-event party Having a pre-event networking party a night before the main event or having a post event party just after the event has been executed is a great way to earn a little more from your event. Not only do these side events help you getting more sponsors on board who will make these parties free for you but keeping these events ticketed is expected to further fill your wallets. 4-Database access For every event that an event manager organizes, he creates a database of attendees and their response to the event for his own self. This database is of great value to other event organizers or brands who would want to research for their next event. By charging them a bomb for the database sharing, event managers can certainly make a lot of money. 5-Hire Volunteers Now this last idea is tricky but most event managers practice this anyways. Tie-up with more event training institutes or colleges so that their students can volunteer free of cost for your next event. By this means you will be able to give them a hands on experience of the event and at the same time you will be able to save on manpower cost. But remember this, these volunteers need to be trained first before they can be handed over the responsibility to take over mundane tasks of the event.

Candid gives a taste of Mangalyaan to Pogo fans

Candid Marketing, brand activation & event agency, conceptualized and executed a fun event for the popular kids’ channel, Pogo, Turner International India for the second year in a row. This year, the theme was ‘Mighty Raju Ka Space Station’, inspired by ‘Mangalyaan’ – India’s successful mission to Mars. ‘Mighty Raju Ka Space Station’ was a 2-day event held at Ansal Plaza, Delhi & Inorbit Mall, Malad, Mumbai, in the month of December. The event engaged and educated kids via multiple fun scientific experiments, workshops and games that aided understanding of interesting facts about the space and the universe we inhabit. The events witnessed 8000+ kids and parents who witnessed the experiments that made learning about Black Hole & Rockets, fun & simple using Acetone & Liquid-nitrogen. The workshops helped learning about space elements like Earth, Rocket, Star, Moon and Sun effortless and enjoyable for the kids. The exciting point of the events was, not only did the kids got the chance to meet their favourite cartoon characters – Chhota Bheem, Chhutki and Mighty Raju, Mr. Bean and Tom & Jerry, but also got to witness spectacular performances that made them sing and dance to their tunes, along with their parents. Vibgyor activates Ricoh at Pamex Exhibition

Ricoh India recently participated at Pamex 2015 which was held at Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai from 9th – 12th December 2015. The brand Ricoh at the event showcased the entire range of products, especially Pro C 9100 series and their newly launched Ricoh Latex printers. Since, the exhibition is one of the biggest platforms for brands to display their products Ricoh needed an extra support from a partnering agency who could create the perfect set up for the brand to ensure it stood out among other stalls at the exhibition. Vibgyor Brand Services was roped in to set up the stall at Pamex for Ricoh which was for about 234 square meters. The stall was booked keeping in mind high visibility and enough branding could be done. Thanks to creative thinking and smart execution by Vibgyor, Ricoh had achieved total sales of 7.5 crores in 4 days with 27 products sold at the exhibition. It was one of the biggest milestones they had achieved in a single exhibition.

Amplify events executes charity event for NDTV

Sonu Nigam performed live in a charity concert at Labh Ganga Garden, Indore, presented by NDTV. The event was managed by the ground partner, Amplify Events, a division of Ascent Brand Communications Pvt. Ltd. The concert, first of its kind in Indore, was organized to raise funds for education of tribal children by NDTV in association with KISS (Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences). The funds raised through ticket sales went towards the education of tribal children. Anusha Mani and DJ Anshul pledged to be partners for this cause along with the star performer, Sonu Nigam. Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Director, Amplify Events, said “The concert was a 360 degree marketing event for us. We started the preparations one month in advance to get the publicity for the concert in place across the geography of Indore”. The pre-publicity started with a high buzz multimedia campaign with Dainik Bhaskar and MyFM as print and radio partners respectively. The multimedia campaign had a mix of print, radio, social media marketing, ATL & BTL support with high decibel amplification. The pre-publicity for concert began in November, with 20 hoardings placed across the strategic locations in Indore. A fleet of 1000 passenger autos was deployed to carry the message across to the TG in Indore. Posters were placed across the city at major youth centric points like colleges, canteens, youth joints etc. Newspaper inserts across the city readers further augmented the efforts. Innovation also came into play, when Amplify Events placed table tops at major restaurants in the city. As it was a ticket based concert, the placement of ticket sales counters across strategic locations in Indore eased the tickets purchase for die-hard fans of Sonu Nigam.The print and radio support by Dainik Bhaskar group further added to the reach of the event. A total of 6 newspaper ads were published in Dainik Bhaskar, with 10 spots being run for 20 days on MyFM. The in-house team at Amplify Events took care of the social media campaign for the event, starting one month in advance. The social media marketing campaign sensitized more than 10 Lakh people about the event. A mix of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Google Adwords was used to enhance the event reach through social media channels. The online activity created a huge response and 3.3k people had shown interest in attending the concert. Chauhan further added “Managing a concert of such scale was a humongous task for us. A team of 150 people was deployed at the main venue for 2 days round the clock to ensure flawless and successful execution”. 6th December was the D-Day and the Amplify team worked 48 straight hours to make the concert a success. All the teams, including tentage, light & sound, branding, security and housekeeping worked on their toes to ensure that the conert becomes a historic success for Amplify Events. The event was attended by a crowd of over 4,000 fans with fans coming from as far as Gwalior to hear to their favourite star, Sonu Nigam. The event was executed flawlessly, making it a milestone for event industry in Indore. At the end of the event, Chauhan was a relieved man “Our team worked very hard to make this event a success, and I am happy the way the concert has been conducted flawlessly. We are looking forward to bring more such concerts for the people of Indore, at the same time thanking them for their presence, making the event such a huge success.” Adnan Khan, Head – Special Projects, NDTV, was all praises for Amplify Events “The way Amplify Events executed the concert was highly commendable. 11th edition of Renault Sony Guild Awards

The Film and Television Producers Guild of India yesterday announced the nominations for the eleventh edition of the Renault Sony Guild Film Awards. The extravaganza will unfold with New Year Celebrations in January and will be broadcast exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television. Instituted to commemorate extraordinary achievements in Indian Cinema and Television, the film and television fraternity congregates every year to celebrate and honor the best contributions and accomplishments in the industry and to celebrate their work in the previous year.
