The Film and Television Producers Guild of India yesterday announced the nominations for the eleventh edition of the Renault Sony Guild Film Awards. The extravaganza will unfold with New Year Celebrations in January and will be broadcast exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television.
Instituted to commemorate extraordinary achievements in Indian Cinema and Television, the film and television fraternity congregates every year to celebrate and honor the best contributions and accomplishments in the industry and to celebrate their work in the previous year. The Awards honor excellence in the creative as well as technical categories.
The nominations for the 11th edition of the Renault Sony Guild Film Awards were announced today with Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Bajrangi Bhaijaan leading the nominations tally in 19 categories, followed by Badlapur,Bajirao Mastani, Piku & Talvar.
Varun Dhawan (Badlapur- Don’t Miss the Beginning), Salman Khan (Bajrangi Bhaijaan), Amitabh Bachchan (Piku), Irrfan Khan (Piku), Ranveer Singh (Bajirao Mastani) have been nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role-Male.
In the Best Actor in a Leading Role-Female category Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, the leading ladies of Bajirao Mastaani have grabbed nominations in addition to them being chosen as nominees for Piku and Dil Dhadakne Do respectively. Nominees in this category also include Kangana Ranaut (Tanu Weds Manu Returns)and Anushka Sharma (NH10).

The Renault Sony Guild Film Awards 2015 will be a scintillating evening with the presence of the biggest and brightest personalities and an unbeatable glamour quotient. Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Ayushmann Khuranna, Kriti Sanon and Farhan Akhtar feature among other star performers who will set the stage on fire with one incredible act after another.
After a successful hosting of the Guild Awards last year, Bollywood newbie and television’s superstar comedian Kapil Sharma will don the host’s hat once again and entertain audiences with his unbeatable comic timing.
