Hyderabad Jewellery Fair 2025 Opens

The 17 edition of the Hyderabad Jewellery, Pearl and Gem Fair (HJF 2025), organised by Informa Markets in India, commenced on 9 May at HITEX, Hyderabad. The event drew jewellers, designers, manufacturers and retailers from across India and overseas, with an emphasis on business to business engagement and seasonal procurement in the lead up to the wedding and festive period, including Diwali.
The lamp lighting ceremony marking the inauguration of the event was attended by several dignitaries, including Karthik Reddy, National Media Panellist, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and Varghese Alukka, Managing Director, Jos Alukka’s. They were joined by Avinash Gupta, Vice Chairman, GJC; Mahendra Tayal, President, HJMA; Mukesh Agarwal, Vice President, HJMA; Chetan Kumar Mehta, President, JAB; Kailash Charan, President, Twin Cities Jewellers Association; Jagdish Pershad Varma, President, Telangana Bullion, Gem and Jewellery Federation; Parasmal Ranka, President, Telangana Pawn Broker Jewellers Association; Ashok Shermal Jain, President, Pot Market Jewellers Association; Sumesh Wadhera, Managing Director, AOJ; Rajendra Jain, Managing Director, SVAR; Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India; Pallavi Mehra, Senior Group Director, Informa Markets in India; and Pankaj Shende, Group Director, Informa Markets in India.

The three day fair is expected to draw over 8,000 trade visitors and provides a platform for business engagement while spotlighting the evolving craftsmanship and contemporary design sensibilities within India’s gems and jewellery sector. Featuring a mix of established names and emerging talent, the exhibition reflects current global trends through its focus on innovation and design.
