Dr. Ramakant Dwivedi's Book 'INDO-KYRGYZ RELATIONS CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES’ Released At A Special Event In New Delhi

Dr. Ramakant Dwivedi's book 'INDO-KYRGYZ RELATIONS CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES', which introduces us to important aspects of relations between India and Kyrgyzstan, was unveiled recently in New Delhi. The book takes an in-depth look at the relationship, challenges and opportunities between India and Kyrgyzstan.

The book was released at an event organised on 11th April at the India International Center (IIC) in Delhi. Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Sh. Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma was the guest of honour on the occasion. The event was organized under the chairmanship of Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).

The event began with an address by Professor Nirmala Joshi and Vice Admiral (Retd.) Shekhar Sinha who explained in detail about the growing scope of relationship between India and Kyrgyzstan. “If you want to strengthen economic and strategic relations with any country, then first human-to-human contacts between the people of the two countries have to be further promoted”, said Sinha.

Speaking about the book, Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe said, 'When we realise that people of another country have the same thinking, style of thinking and values like ours, then the proximity gets stronger. We find mention of it in the Kyrgyzstan epic called Manas. When I read his description in it, I felt that it could be compared with Ramayana and Mahabharata. I think this book will further strengthen the relations between the two countries.”

Union Minister of State Sh Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma said, 'I would like to thank Ramakant Dwivedi ji for this book. This book will further strengthen the relations between the two countries. Over the years, our country has had good relations with the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and it is going from one strength to another.”

Dr. Ramakant Dwivedi, author of this book published by Pentagon Press, said, 'This book is mainly on India's relations with Central Asian countries. It also looks at the status of our relation with Kyrgyz Republic  in the cultural, political, economic and educational fields and how we can make this relationship better. It also dwells on the necessary steps that should be undertaken to further strengthen the bond between the two countries.”
