Tourism Guild of Agra successfully executes the first edition of travel writers and travel bloggers conclave 2020
The Tourism Guild of Agra is an apex body of tourism & hospitality trade of the city of Taj and functions as a spokesman of tourism industry of Agra. The theme of the travel writers and travel bloggers conclave 2020 was 'Agra beyond Taj'.
Its attempt to bring travel bloggers and journalists from all over the country and to present the city beyond just Taj Mahal, helped to create amplification and presented the other unique qualities of the city. Be it the old heritage walk or the colonial tour, the city has a lot to offer in terms of its rich culture and heritage.
Rajiv Saxena, Vice President, Tourism Guild said, "Keeping in mind the needs of the new age traveler the guild curated certain experiences. The young generation wants to know how their past has evolved so to show the heritage to them is very important. This is done by using connecting stories and some melodrama too which can be weaved into a new-age narrative, which is authentic yet appealing."
The sounds of the folklores, vignettes of the streets, taste of the famous ‘Agre ka Petha’, rich history and breathtaking architecture are some of the attractions without which ‘the Agra experience’ is incomplete.
According to Hari Sukumar, President, Tourism Guild of Agra, "The industry has undergone a massive transformation from just being a touristic destination to a destination wedding venue. This is because of being the city of love and Taj Mahal and also the entire aura attached to it. It is also a popular MICE destination."
