The Leela Palace Bengaluru Hosts 2nd Annual Golf Tournament
The Leela Palace Bengaluru hosted the second edition of this 18-hole tournament at the Karnataka Golf Association, Bengaluru on 30 January 2024. The second edition of the tournament is in collaboration with KGA Junior Golf Development and Golf Foundation.
There were over 30 children who took part in the tournament which included children from all walks of life.
Speaking on the occasion, Madhav Sehgal, Area Vice President – South India, The Leela Palaces Hotels and Resorts says, “We are thrilled to announce the second edition of our annual golf tournament hosted by The Leela Palace Bengaluru. This year, our aim is to create a platform to not only inspire young aspiring golfers but to recognise and celebrate them as well.”
The tournament was inaugurated with a ceremonial shotgun tee-off on 30 January 2024 by Vijay Amritraj.
The winners also received prizes including couple stay vouchers and couple dining vouchers from across hotels within The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts portfolio.
Tennis veteran, Vijay Amritraj said "I am really excited to be associated with this tournament for the second year in a row, and I commend The Leela in their efforts to nurture young Indian golfing Talent. I see more and more youngsters taking to this game, and this initiative by The Leela is sure to go a long way in identifying budding talent and enabling them to achieve excellence in the sport."
