Sukrit Singh who recently quit as CEO of Geometry Encompass, a WPP Group-owned experiential marketing agency, plans to take on the digital space with his venture The Platform.
Confirming the development, Singh said: “I believe that the next frontier is the rur-ban digital space. Smart Phones have proliferated the erstwhile dark mile and data is abundant. The Platform will look at the massive potential in this space.”
He explained that The Platform is looking at opportunities to integrate digital and new media with experiential. Singh also revealed that The Platform is partnering with a young digital company called 'A Technos' run by Abhinav Jain and Apurv Modi to harness this opportunity. “We are currently working on several briefs and you will soon see the power of hyper local content, nano influencers and community engagement delivered through the smartphone,” Singh said.
Singh said he will also be looking at opportunities in sports and intellectual property strategy in the near future.
Meanwhile, Geometry Encompass on Monday announced the appointment of Ranjit Raina as the Chief Executive Officer. Raina will take over his new role from August 13.
