Sanjoy Roy Conferred Honorary Degree By University Of York

University of York has conferred an honorary degree to Sanjoy Roy who is the Managing Director of Teamwork Arts.

It must be mentioned that Teamwork Arts has been producing more than 30 festivals in 42 cities and 17 countries showcasing arts and literature in various forms. The venues include Australia, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, UK and USA as well as many festivals across India. Half a million literary enthusiasts visit the JLF in Jaipur. 22 million watch it online. Roy has also lectured at and works in collaboration with leading universities across the world.

Roy is also the  founder-trustee of Salaam Baalak Trust, which provides support services for street children in Delhi. Over 130,000 children have benefited from education, training and residential services.

Roy works closely with various cultural industry bodies in India and is co-chair of the Art and Culture Committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. He is a former President of Event and Entertainment Management Association and is part of the Earth Day Network’s official Global Advisory Committee for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day in 2020.
