The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple was consecrated on 22 January 2024 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now that Ram Mandir is open to the public, the Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has revealed that plans to make at least 13 temples in the complex are underway.
According to Treasurer Swami Gurudev Giriji, the work to make 13 new temples and complete the main temple is in progress. The main temple - Ram Janmabhoomi Temple was inaugurated on 22 January 2024 and only has its first floor.
Giriji explained that work is in progress on the second floor after which the Shikhar - the central dome - will have to be done.
He added that after this, the work will start on the five key temples for ‘Ram Parivar’. Since Lord Ram is considered an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, temples will be created in the four corners of the main temple dedicated to Lord Ganapati, Shiva, Surya and Goddess Jagdamba.
Along with this, a separate temple will be made for Lord Hanuman.
The treasurer of the Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust added that near the Sita Rasoi, a temple dedicated to Goddess Annapurna will be put up.
Outside the Ram mandir complex, temples for Saints Valmiki, Vashist, Vishwamitra, Devi Shavari and Jatayu, will also be put up.
