As per a regulatory filing, effective 1 April, 2024, Maruti Suzuki India is set to restructure its senior management team. Sandeep Raina, Tarun Aggarwal, CV Raman, Shashank Srivastava, and seven others have been reassigned to the newly formed management committee. Partho Banerjee, currently heading service, takes on the role of head of marketing and sales – a responsibility which was being handled by Srivastava before this.
Raman has transitioned from his role as head of engineering to the member executive committee, while Srivastava moves from leading marketing & sales to join the same group. Aggarwal, with 34 years at the company, currently serves as the executive officer and head of the 'Powertrain' vertical.
Sandeep Raina, previously the EVP and head of product development and cost & program management, now heads product planning.
Rajesh Uppal, formerly in charge of HR and IT, has been elevated to the member executive committee, and Ram Suresh Akella now serves as the executive officer in the marketing vertical. Salil B. Lal assumes the position of head of human resources, while Manoj Gautam becomes head of IT.
Additionally, Rahul Bharti is appointed head of corporate affairs, Deepak Thukral takes over as head of supply chain, and Sunil Kakkar becomes head of corporate planning. Maruti Suzuki undertook these changes following a meeting to reorganise its senior management team, aligning with the objectives for the upcoming financial year's growth.
