A motorcycle tour is set to invigorate tourism in Egypt, encompassing Luxor in southern Upper Egypt and the Red Sea east of Cairo.
Organised by the motorcycle federation in collaboration with Hawks Egypt, the tour, titled ‘Sweet Home Country’, is supported by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion. Comprising 57 participants from Egypt, India, the US, and other Arab nations, the itinerary spans attractions like the Karnak and Luxor temples in Luxor, Hurghada city in the Red Sea, with a return to Cairo.
The tour aims to spotlight Egypt's potential for combining beach and cultural tourism, emphasising the government's dedication to enhancing transportation networks and facilitating seamless travel between cities. Sponsored by the Tourism Promotion Authority since 2019, the tour includes visits to Luxor and Red Sea offices, providing participants with facilities and offering souvenirs and promotional materials about the visited areas.
This initiative adds to the Hawks Egypt Club's efforts to boost tourism, building on previous tours in various Egyptian governorates, including Fayoum, Beni Suef, Aswan, and South Sinai. Ahmed Mohie, director of the Tourism Promotion Authority office in Cairo, noted that events like this motorcycle tour play a pivotal role in showcasing Egypt's diverse tourism attractions, contributing to the ongoing efforts to stimulate tourism in the country.
