Keeping the Covid-19 restrictions and precautions in mind, Astrofanatics are back with a get-away for you and your family in the lap of the beautiful mountain ranges of Ranikhet, Uttarakhand. They believe that your good health and safety is our first priority.
With our fast paced lives, we have forgotten the allure of this night sky, we never stop and look up to admire the cosmic beauties. Astrofanatics gives an opportunity to get trained and observe some beautiful celestial objects from a serene, dark and mesmerizing place located in the lap of the Himalayas through its Messier Marathon. The Ex (out of 110) from the Messier Catalogue of Nebulae, Galaxies and Star Clusters in a single night. We will be looking at various objects throughout the night from our 8” Dobsonian Telescope, accompanied by interesting information on the Messier objects, guest presentations on related topics, and other exciting astronomical information over the course of the entire night, until dawn.
Accompanying you on this journey across the cosmos will be Astronomers who have an experience of 5+ years of observation and research in Astronomy. Learn about navigating through the night sky, finding directions. Learn about the mechanics and operations of telescopes, binoculars and other astronomical equipment. Observe the beauty of the cosmos first hand as the trained astronomers take you on an observational rampage across the night sky. Learn the art of capturing what you observe through our hands-on astrophotography module. Observe the deep sky objects; learn about how to locate them, their types, distinct visual characteristics. One such night can make you question the way we humans have been spending all our precious time just encircling around materialistic things.
Uttarakhand provides a perfect getaway with a pleasant weather, natural vistas, mystical culture and a clear, star-studded sky. Spending a night under the blanket of stars proves to be a mind refreshing and rejuvenating experience while you lie in the lap of nature. Our destination will be a heavenly abode situated in the jagged mountain ranges of Ranikhet, Uttarakhand which is any astronomer and photographer’s paradise. Our destination Stonewood Villa, Ranikhet will be a 8-9 hour drive from Delhi.
Few of the initial and most important protocols we will be taking complete care of are compact groups, a safety kit (Mask, gloves & sanitizer) and infrared temperature scanning before the trip.
