The St. Regis Mumbai is delighted to announce the appointment of Elie Houbeich as Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage.
Elie brings with him over 15 years of operation and leadership international experience in the hospitality industry within the core area of food and beverage. He started his career in his native place Lebanon and then moved to China, Jordan, Egypt and Dubai where he managed F&B teams of over 200 associates.
With experience in various leadership positions, Elie has previously worked with Mariott Beijing Southwest and MEA as Director Of Operations. He was also the Director of F&B with different hospitality chains including The Westin Beijing Financial Street. With his drive to take things to the next level, Elie has proven himself to be a valuable asset to the properties under his purview. He has been successful in achieving F&B revenue targets, delivering high Guest Voice scores and creating innovative, competitive and path-breaking F&B moments. During his tenure, his venues have won recognition and prestigious awards like Time Out, Beijigner and City Weekend. In his current role at The St. Regis, Elie will bring in-depth knowledge and operational skills and will lead the hotel’s dynamic F&B team to navigate the varied and vibrant venues.
Armed with wealth of knowledge, Elie also holds dual degrees of hospitality and management from prestigious educational institutions like Hotel Institute Lebanon, as well as an MBA from Glion institute Switzerland specialised in marketing and innovation. Combining marketing, management and F&B skills, his drive to excel has earned him several certifications like the General Manager program from Cornell University, Financial Certificate, Marketing Management, Hotel Revenue Management and Master Certificate F&B from eCornell as well as a certification in Wines and is a Whisky ambassador.
He is proficient in languages like Arabic and French as well as smattering Mandarin. When he’s not working, Elie enjoys the outdoors and focuses on fitness, with running and cycling. His quiet moments, are spent reading or wielding a camera for his keen interest in photography feeds his creative inclination. Despite his busy schedule, he makes sure to spend time with his family.
