As the travel landscape continues to evolve, the tourism industry stands at the cusp of transformative change. To explore the immense potential of tourism in 2025, BOTT presented the BOTT Knowledge Conclave: Tourism@2025 — a dynamic platform designed to bring industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders together to chart the course for the future of global travel.
The BOTT Knowledge Conclave: Tourism@2025 will be a half-day power-packed event featuring two insightful Business Sessions focused on the opportunities, challenges, and trends shaping the Future of Tourism — both inbound and outbound. Attendees will gain a holistic understanding of what 2025 holds for the global and Indian tourism industries, learn best practices, and explore strategies to capitalize on emerging market opportunities.
The session on inbound tourism focused on the world’s growing interest in Indian culture, heritage, and natural beauty, inbound tourism to India which is set for exponential growth. It gave an overview about emerging destinations (highlighting offbeat and under-explored regions in India), evolving traveller preferences (understanding the changing needs of global travellers, including sustainable tourism, wellness experiences, and digital nomad culture) and infrastructure and innovation (discussing the role of smart cities, enhanced connectivity, and cutting-edge technologies in boosting India’s inbound tourism sector).
The second session shed light on the future of outbound tourism. With the Indian middle class expanding and international travel becoming more accessible, outbound tourism is poised for remarkable growth. The session covered top global destinations (identifying the regions and countries expected to attract the highest number of Indian travellers by 2025), travel preferences and trends (analysing the rise of experiential travel, adventure tourism, and luxury travel among Indian outbound tourists) and partnerships and collaborations (exploring how international tourism boards and Indian travel operators can forge partnerships to boost outbound travel).
BOTT Knowledge Conclave: Tourism@2025 proved to be a compelling platform for shaping the future of tourism. As 2025 approaches, the conclave aimed to equip participants with the insights and strategies necessary to navigate the rapidly changing travel landscape, opening up new opportunities for growth and collaboration.
