EEMA North Meet 2024 Congregates Industry Leaders For Celebratory Night

The EEMA North Meet 2024, hosted on 20 December, 2024 at Cherish Ballrooms, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, brought together over 100 industry leaders and professionals to celebrate collaboration, and progress in the event and entertainment industry and meet the new EEMA leadership.
The evening was anchored by Swati Sharma. Ruchin Kohli, Vice President and Vanessa Williams, Joint Secretary, EEMA North Zone welcomed the gathering. Hospitality partner Cherish shared a presentation of their offerings. New members were welcomed on stage and all the partners, speakers and sponsors of the North Meet were handed a token of appreciation, for their support.

Ankur Kalra, General Secretary (GS), EEMA shared an informative presentation to introduce the NEC, zonal teams and the Secretariat members. He also highlighted major accomplishments since taking charge as GS - organising a comprehensive data bank since inception, streamlining membership documents, formation of Task Forces and names of the committee chairs and members, developing of tech stack and EEMA collateral (brochure/newsletters etc.). He concluded by sharing membership growth and the proposed regional plans through March 2024.
Kalra outlined, "The EEMA North Meet 2024 was extremely well curated with a mix of entertainment and knowledge sessions by industry experts. The energy and collaboration tonight reflect the strength and passion of our community. Moving forward, we aim to empower event professionals, seize new opportunities, and drive sustainable progress. Key Sessions and Insights
The programme included entertainment and sessions designed to empower and educate event professionals. Kanika Malhotra, Diet and Wellness Expert shared wellness tips to promote balance and well-being in the fast-paced event industry. Dr. Aasthaa Dewan, Behaviour Transformation Coach, offered practical stress management strategies for event professionals.
The highlight of the evening was Vinash Kumar, President, Earthood Services Limited (ESG), who presented groundbreaking insights on how to make events sustainable for a greener future. Kunwar Vaibhav Singh, Founder & Managing Director, VLS Sourcing & VLS Technology, highlighted cutting-edge HR trends and strategies for hiring the right talent to empower the events sector. Kriti Pareek, Designated Partner, Credeb Advisors LLP, presented tailored financial solutions through end-to-end virtual CFO services, designed specifically for event management companies.
Ruchin Kohli, Vice President, EEMA – North concluded with several announcements on behalf of the North Zone: an online Open House every second Wednesday of the month, the upcoming Spotlight Awards 2025 in May, the launch of The Events Studio monthly podcast series from January 2025, and the scheduled Presenters Meet in mid-January. All aim at celebrating innovation and excellence in the industry. The announcement that all four historic Delhi monuments entrusted to Sabhyata Foundation (Purana Qila, Humayun’s Tomb, Safdarjung Tomb and Mehrauli Archaeological Park) can be rented for an experiential event at a judicious cost got the heartiest applause from the attendees as this would put forth a great opportunity to showcase Indian heritage.

The night ended with a gratitude note from the EEMA North team, followed by a performance by performing artists Star and Adhyott, the band which kept the energy high and the atmosphere lively. The attendees enjoyed cocktails and music, bringing a successful evening of collaboration and celebration to a perfect close.
