President of the Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA), Mr Sabbas Joseph, has today announced that a new team is being devised for leading the association. While a few members from the existing leadership team would continue their office the new team promises to see some fresh representation.
Sabbas Joseph is serving his second term as President of EEMA and was re-elected through a unanimous and uncontested selection earlier this year.
Details of the various committees and leadership positions are as follows along with the names of proposed members.
Considered members have been given a period of 48 hours to send in their acceptance.
National Advisory Council
This council comprises of senior members of EEMA who have both distinguished themselves in business as well as through their visionary contribution.

National Executive Committee
The NEC would have a blend of experience as well as freshness. The majority of the members are new, a few experienced members would continue. Representation has been provided to each of the key cities.Besides the traditional agenda that comprises learning, training, member-development, government engagement, the new committee would also address issues of Health and Safety, Gender sensitivity among others. Development of the regions is being given special focus and a Vice-president is being appointed to focus on the same.
While Sushma Gaikwad was the only female representative in the committee last term, Poonam Lal and Rakhi Kankaria are also being considered this year improving the overall representation of women in the national committee.

The National Working Committee would comprise key leaders from the Regional Leadership teams along with the National Executive Committee. Secretaries of each of the key states and the regions along with their vice-presidents would constitute the first-ever EEMA National Working Committee. The National Advisory Council would be invited to meetings of the National Working Committee.
