Conde Naste hosts 2nd edition of gourmet and wine experience 'Hot Tables'

Condé Nast Traveller India’s ‘Hot Tables’ seeks to bring to India some of the finest chefs and restaurateurs from across the globe to provide an unforgettable dining experience.

The 2017 edition of Hot Tables was attended by eminent guest such as the Consul General of France Yves Perrin and his wife Caroline Perrin, actor Rahul Khanna, fashion designers Nachiket Barve, Nimish Shah, and Sanjay Garg, interior designer and architect Ashiesh Shah, gallerists Sree and Ranjul Goswami, artist and curator Sharmistha Ray, chef and restaurateur Pooja Dhingra with Chef Pablo Agular, Nyrika Krishna and Yeshwant Holkar from the Royal Family of Indore, Country Manager of Hermes Neisha Fernandes, Matrix Partner's co-founder Avnish Bajaj and wife Tina Kapoor, popular society names and opinion leaders like Priya Aswani and Farhad Taraporewala, Roohi and Chetan Jaikishan, Anil Chopra with Sabina Chopra, and Fahad Samar, amongst several others.

The Fine French Cuisine by Chef Eric Geoffroy included separate vegetarian and non-vegetarian creations. While the vegetarians enjoyed Lentils (ball of lentils, matcha powder and its beetroot and pepper sorbet), Brussels Sprouts (rounded tuile of vegetable charcoal, its Brussels sprout cream and its emulsion of Camembert) and Vegetables of the Season (3 purees and seasonal charred vegetables and their bay leaf milk sauce), the non-vegetarians relished Scallops (Trilogy of scallops and its carrot puree and orange), Sea Bass (line caught sea bass cooked unilateral, its lettuce sauce and vegetables), and Duck (slow cooked duck breast, its mousse of apple and beetroot jus with ball of lentils and matcha powder). The 4-course meal was topped off on a sweet note with a delectable dessert consisting of roasted pineapple, its whisky jelly chocolat and curry sauce on its cacao crumble bed. Each course was paired with some of the finest French wines to ensure the evening ended on a definitive high!
