The Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA), India’s apex body of the events and experiential marketing industry is hosting the 10th edition of EEMAGINE and EEMAX Global Awards, from 8th to 10th September 2017, at Hotel Pullman, Aerocity, New Delhi.
The endeavor of EEMAX awards is to identify, celebrate and honour the best events and experiential marketing initiatives from around the world, while the conclave promises to be a world-class thought leadership summit and a superlative networking opportunity for the industry. The categories to be awarded this year include Events, Activation, Social, Sports, IP, Digital & Technology and Education.
The three-day conclave will witness a bevy of renowned speakers. Some of the names include Laura Mackenzie-Stuart, Director-Creative Scotland, Lydia Buthello, VP, Star TV, Samar Singh Sheikhawat, VP- Marketing, United Breweries, Vikram Sakhuja, CEO, Madison Media, Rishi Jaitly, CEO, Times Bridge and Dilip Cherian Communication Consultant & Political Campaign Advisor, among others.
An interesting addition to this year’s edition is the We Care Walk- an initiative in support of EEMA’s women empowerment drive We Care, which will see people rallying for the cause on 9 September. The walk will kick off at 7am from Hotel Pullman Aerocity and expects to see close to 200 people.
Sabbas Joseph, President of EEMA and founder of India’s premier event agency Wizcraft stated, “The last decade has been an era of change. Change that is clearly visible. Change that is awe defining. No longer can a brand be launched effectively without an event; no wedding or social celebration is done without an event planner and dreamer; no government announcement is done without an event! The advertising world has been compelled to involve event engagement ideas in their media mix and sometimes the entire campaign rests on the event as the holy grail! And our industry has grown by over 20% year on year by conservative estimates, beating the national growth by multiples. And the Best is yet to come! The business environment has been drastically altered and the events and experience industry has responded in equal measure. Change has been felt in leadership, across the talent pool, the work force, systems, processes, and levels of accountability. We ask less about what government can do for us or what clients need to do, we’ve begun to focus on what WE CAN DO and especially what WE CAN DO TOGETHER. There are fewer excuses, more solutions. There is responsibility and dependability. It’s an awesome age to live in and work in. We at EEMA have defined this as the ‘Decade of Transformation’ and this has been adopted as the theme of our celebratory convention in its 10th year.”
Sanjeev Pasricha, EEMA VP- North and Group CEO of leading experiential agency CS Direkt commented, “During the course of three days we have planned various sessions to highlight opportunities, experiences, case studies and global trends for the experiential marketing industry across media, entertainment, digital and sports verticals. Our event promises to be nothing short of an EEMAginarium; showcasing award-winning global case studies, knowledge sharing by international and Indian speakers and some top line entertainment. EEMAGINE has over the years established itself as an important forum for policy-makers and thought leaders to gather and exchange ideas. The convention strives to provide meaningful focus on current trends in the dynamic industry of events and experiential marketing and the key role that it can play in community engagement, nation building and brand building.”
It must be mentioned that EEMA is the first and only autonomous and non-profit registered body of its kind in India, which seeks to bring together the world’s leading event management companies, institutions and professionals on the same platform. EEMA today is the country’s only national association with a unified voice that leads dialogue within its members and with the government, statutory bodies, taxation authorities, private and municipal licensing bodies, corporate industry, industry production partners and artists.
