‘Hear The Silence’ Exhibition Draws In Praise For Depiction Of Eternal Cycle Of Life

The solo exhibition of oil paintings by renowned Artist Prof. Jyoti Nagpal, ‘Hear The Silence’, is being held at Bikaner House, New Delhi, from 28 September to 1 October, 2024

A solo exhibition of oil paintings titled, ‘Hear the Silence’ by renowned artist, Prof. Jyoti Nagpal, Professor (Hon.), Amity School of Fine Arts and Advisor Amity Art Foundation, was unveiled by Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group; N.N. Vohra, Life Trustee, India International Centre & Former Governor, Jammu & Kashmir; and Shyam Saran, President, India International Centre & Former Foreign Secretary, GOI. The exhibition is being held at Bikaner House, New Delhi, from 28 September to 1 October, 2024.

Inaugurating the exhibition, Dr. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, averred, "It gives me immense pleasure to inaugurate the exhibition as it showcases beautiful artworks by Prof. Jyoti Nagpal, who is an extremely talented artist. Art refreshes our body, mind and soul and this exhibition has truly left us mesmerised. My heartiest congratulations to Prof. Nagpal for creating such masterpieces."

Speaking about her artworks, Prof. Nagpal said, "I have a deep fascination for dense foliage and its changing colours in different seasons, which to me are symbolic of the eternal cycle of life. This collection of paintings is an attempt to portray the beauty of nature as I observe and perceive it. For me, nature represents movement, fulfilment, warmth, and harmony, which I have tried to depict through my artworks."

Vohra said that Nagpal has presented nature in a unique way through her paintings. “There is a close relationship between nature and artist which only an artist understands, and Prof. Jyoti Nagpal has portrayed the beauty of nature in a wonderful way, through her paintings.”

Admiring the artworks on display, Sunita Bali, Design Consultant, Ministry of Textiles said, "These artworks reflect nature in its purest form. My heartfelt appreciation to Prof. Jyoti Nagpal for putting together this exquisite exhibition, which is truly a delight for all art enthusiasts."

The exhibition displayed 50 beautiful artworks, titled – ‘A Sunny Autumn Day’, ‘Winter Cover’, ‘Fall Foliage’, ‘Trout Stream’, ‘Edge of the Forest’, ‘Lily Pond’, ‘After the Rain’ and ‘Quivering Anticipation’, amongst others. 

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ajay Chauhan, Trustee RBEF; Dr. A.K Nagpal, Hony. Chairman, Amity Pacific Forum; Dr. Pradeep Joshi, Group Additional Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University; senior faculty and HOIs of Amity University, teachers of Amity Schools, and art enthusiasts.
