Feeding India, a Zomato giveback (‘Feeding India’), has unveiled its second edition of the Zomato Feeding India Concert (ZFIC) 2024. This year, global pop powerhouse and multiple Grammy and Brit Award winner, Dua Lipa, will headline the concert, set to take place on 30 November, 2024 at MMRDA, BKC in Mumbai.
Zomato Live, the live events vertical of Zomato focused on organising food and entertainment events, conceptual IPs, concerts and ticketed events will be organising the concert. Leading national artists, such as Jonita Gandhi, and Talwiinder among others will also be performing at ZFIC this year.
Zomato Feeding India Concert is a community-driven initiative to accelerate progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030. The concert brings together artists, changemakers, philanthropists, celebrities, and citizens to unite in building a hunger and malnutrition-free nation. Feeding India is a non-profit organisation working towards solving hunger and malnutrition in India. Feeding India works towards this goal by supporting large-scale systemic interventions with the government, direct meal support to low-income/government and non-government schools and raising social awareness about malnutrition through a youth-led volunteer movement.
Lipa shares, “My recent trip to India was a beautiful reminder of how much I love this place. The warmth and energy I felt were amazing, and I can’t wait to return in November 2024 to perform for an incredible audience at the Zomato Feeding India Concert.”
Deepinder Goyal, Founder & CEO, Zomato said, “For the second edition of Zomato Feeding India Concert we have one of my favourite pop music icons, Dua Lipa, and I couldn’t be more excited! Dua has recently shared her love for India and this concert will help strengthen our country’s resolve to eradicate malnutrition and hunger in India.”
Zomato’s Feeding India Concert marks Dua’s first performance in the country since 2019 when she performed at a music festival in Mumbai. This performance adds to Dua’s previously announced Asia leg of her Radical Optimism Tour, which kicks off in Singapore on 5 November, 2024 and stops in Jakarta, Manila, Tokyo, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok, before concluding in Seoul on 5 December, 2024.
The tour is in support of Lipa’s third album, Radical Optimism, which soared to No. 1 in 11 countries upon its release, including the UK, where it became the biggest album debut by a UK artist in 2024 and achieved the highest week-one sales by a UK female artist since 2021.
The pre-sale tickets for the concert will be exclusively available on the Live tab of the Zomato app for HSBC card holders from 12 pm on 27 August, 2024 till 29 August, 2024. Following this, the tickets will be available for purchase starting 29 August, 2024.
