Mantri Square, a shopping centre in Bangalore, presented a unique and never seen before event to spread the message of sustainable environment. With every 5th of June being celebrated as World Environment Day, a cyclothon – “The Environment Crawl: Pedal for the Planet” was organized with the aim of spreading awareness about saving and preserving the environment and how one can fight climate change. This initiative was supported by “Go Green” – a cycling troupe and the event was conceptualized and executed by WOOT Factor Events Pvt Ltd.

Mr. Karun Nair, IPS (security and vigilance) Mr. B.N.S Reddy, Mr. Aditya Sikhri, CEO, Mantri Developers (Retail and Commercial), Mr. Majid Mashfej (Head-Mall Management) and other dignitaries from Mantri Mall Management Team.
The event was flagged of by Mr. Majid on 07:15 am at Mantri Square and moved to its first check-point - Government Pre-University College, Malleshwaram where the participants planted saplings with children of Shantidham charitable trust orphanage followed by a pit stop at Iskon temple for a brief snack break. The final stop was at the Rectangle Park opposite Mantri Square where the participants took up to watering plants. There was also an interactive session conducted wherein fans intermingled and clicked pictures with Mr. Karun Nair.
