Women Inspiring Network’s Stuti Jalan Curates Panel Discussions At Climate Week NYC 2024

Along with this, she also engaged at the Creators Hub during the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) alongside the UN General Assembly

As an organisation dedicated to creating a female-forward movement around the world, Stuti Jalan, Founder of Win (Women Inspiring Network), curated and partnered in three key conversations around sustainability in tourism, Stem (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) , and design and technological innovation at Climate Week New York 2024, from 22 to 29 September, 2024.

She was also invited to participate in the Creators Hub at the Clinton Global Initiative, from 23 to 24 September, 2024 in New York City for their 2024 Annual Meeting. Both events were held in conjunction with the United Nations General Assembly.

As part of the Creators Hub at Clinton Global Initiative, Jalan attended several transformative discussions that were led by a line-up of global leaders such as Joe Biden, US President with Bill Clinton; Hillary and Chelsea Clinton; Jill Biden, First Lady; Prince Harry; Bill Gates, Founder, Microsoft; José Andrés, Michelin chef; Jane Goodall, English primatologist and anthropologist, and other change makers.

At CGI, Jalan’s interaction with Chelsea Clinton was truly inspiring. “Chelsea gave a shoutout to Win for our impactful work, and shared insights on building meaningful connections to create a sustainable and happier future,” said Jalan.

During Climate Week New York 2024, Win spearheaded three panels. Here are the highlights:

1. In collaboration with Green My Experience, Jalan moderated the panel ‘Pioneering Sustainable Tourism Development’ where the conversation centred around sustainable tourism practices, empowering local communities, and sharing success stories from around the globe.

The line-up of speakers included Robin Wood Sailer, Co-founder, Le Labs Group; Shelley Worrell, Founder & CEO, I am Caribbeing; and Carla Gautier of the Re. Generation Future Leaders Program at the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation; and Diane Binder, Founder & CEO, Regenopolis. They highlighted tangible examples of how tourism can positively contribute to the environment and local economies.

2. Jalan curated the discussion on Driving Sustainable Futures through Women’s Leadership in Stem at the World Woman Future Forum at Microsoft’s Times Square office.

The line-up of speakers included Rashmi Joshi, CEO & Founder, Asha AI; Jyotsana Sankuratri, Assistant Vice President, Voya Financial; Andrea Feigl, CEO, Health Finance Institute; and Japneet Kaur, a specialist in security and risk management. The panelists shared insights on how women in Stem are at the forefront of creating innovative solutions to tackle global sustainability challenges.

3. Win partnered with Fusion Fashion Tech Summit, an official Climate Week event, where Jalan spoke on the panel – A Cultural Renaissance: Blending Tradition and Innovation in the Digital Era.

This session featured insightful discussions with Sarah Kornfeld, Co-founder, Rising Partners; Nayana Kodesia, Founder and Creative Director, Nyna and Dumroo; Clementia ‘The Sustainable Latina’ Founder, DNA Sustainable Threads; and Mehak Agrawal, Global Sustainability spokesperson of Climate Clock. Together, they explored the role that fashion, culture, and technology play in fostering sustainability and ensuring that tradition inspires future innovations.

Reflecting on Win’s engagement at Climate Week and CGI, Jalan shared, “We are elated to be part of these incredible discussions. Climate Week and the Clinton Global Initiative have provided an unparalleled opportunity to amplify women’s leadership on the global stage and created great momentum to address the world’s most distressing problems. Win’s mission is to champion women’s voices and drive solutions that foster sustainability, innovation, and creativity. Being here this week has strengthened our belief in the significant role women play in shaping the future of sustainability.”
