Wizcraft wins management rights for Mumbai Cricket Association's T20 league

The inaugural edition of MCA’s franchise based T20 league will kick off on 4 January 2018 and will continue for a 6-day duration.

MCA had invited companies for Expression of Interests (EOI) to manage the league for a five-year period, following which it was narrowed down to four agencies that included Wizcraft.

Each agency was evaluated on parameters including financials, logistics, marketing and operations of the league. After several rounds of deliberations with the Managing Committee, it was ultimately Wizcraft that came up trumps.

The victory is a significant one for Wizcraft who had participated in a bid earlier this year for IPL management rights but was narrowly beaten by IMG Reliance, most likely due to its extensive experience with organizing sporting events.

By clinching this T20 contract Wizcraft, one of India’s largest event management agencies, marks its entry into the major league sports arena; a reason compelling enough for rival companies to break into a nervous sweat
