White Rivers Media Highlights LGBTQIA+ Stories During Pride Month

The agency organised awareness and sensitisation campaigns, facilitated digital activations, and hosted a panel discussion during Pride Month

For Pride Month, White Rivers Media (WRM) built on its ongoing commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community by launching a series of initiatives that furthered its efforts to address new-age problems and empower the community. Their conviction is that allyship requires more than just ‘tokenism’.

WRM’s focus continued to be on three key pillars: fostering understanding within its walls, addressing real-world challenges faced by the community, and amplifying diverse voices.

Partnering with the Keshav Suri Foundation, an NGO that works for the betterment of marginalised communities, including LGBTQIA+, WRM spotlighted the issue of dating app scams targeting folks in the pride community. Their social media campaign aimed to raise awareness, encourage reaching out, and empathise with those being tricked.

They highlighted top LGBTQIA+ campaigns from around the world for inspiration and created the 'Groove with Pride' a Spotify playlist, showcasing the exceptional talent of LGBTQIA+ music artists globally.

The agency hosted a thought-provoking panel discussion in association with The Quint on ‘Pinkwashing’ the LGBTQIA+ community. This discussion challenged the concept of performative brand support to the pride community and had diverse views from the community and allies.

Shrenik Gandhi, Co-founder and CEO, WRM said, “True support goes beyond a hashtag or surface-level gestures. At WRM, we are committed to facilitating and fostering an environment where diverse views are heard and addressed while bridging the gap between gender equality and gender equity.”

WRM is continuing to enrich inclusion through impactful Pride Month initiatives, bolstering sensitisation through open communication – both internally and externally.
