Speaking on her appointment, Gaikwad said to BW Applause and Everything Experiential, “My appointment as a chairperson is both honour and privilege, it is a huge responsibility that I am going to take very seriously.” We get an opportunity to serve the industry that has given us so much,” she added.
Apart from Sushma Gaikwad as chairperson, the committee has three members, Manika Garg, Chetan Vohra and Sapna Subramanium. They were joined by Brian Tellis and Sanjoy Roy who are on the panel as advisors.
When we asked what will be her priorities as the chairperson of WE CARE, she replied, “The WE CARE Committee is working on a multipronged agenda to create a safe environment to drive our tenets. Addressing unconscious bias holds the key to creating an inclusive industry.”
“Our immediate tasks are to provide a robust support structure for our community, host informative and educative sessions and proactively engage with members to understand their concerns,” she added.
