In a celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, Society Tea has presented a breathtaking Tea Fountain installation at the iconic Lalbaug Ganapati Mannat Line Pandal. This creation seamlessly blends tradition and modernity, capturing the festival’s vibrant spirit while pushing the boundaries of creativity.
The centrepiece of the installation is an eye-catching 14-foot-high blue kettle, dramatically suspended in mid-air, continuously pouring a stream of tea into a cup below. This mesmerising flow of tea evokes both awe and admiration, creating an unforgettable visual experience for devotees and visitors alike.
Set against a majestic backdrop of Kailasa, the heavenly abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, the installation transforms the space into a spiritual haven. The flowing tea represents the sacred Ganges, adding layers of symbolic depth to this artistic marvel. The convergence of spirituality, tradition, and artistry resonates profoundly with the essence of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in a way that honours tradition while showcasing innovation, the Tea Fountain stands as a unique tribute to Indian cultural heritage. It highlights Society Tea's ability to bring age-old customs to life in engaging and modern ways. This meticulously designed structure, crafted by a dedicated team of 10 artists over 45 days, features a 130 kg kettle suspended above a 40 kg cup.
Beyond its visual grandeur, this installation reinforces Society Tea's legacy of harmoniously blending tradition with modernity, making a bold statement during one of Mumbai’s most celebrated festivals.
