Sachin Tendulkar: Celebrating The Global Icon On His 50th Birthday With A Tribute Book

On the 50th birthday of the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, well known sports historian and popular TV show host and founder of RevSportz, Boria Majumdar will unveil a new book titled ‘Sachin@50’- Celebrating A Maestro. The concept and curation of the book is done by the Majumdar and special back cover note is written by Gulzar.

The book will be released on Tendulkar’s 50 th birthday on 24th of April 2023.

Speaking about the book, Majumdar said, “I have immense pleasure in saying this tribute is now ready. A book I have put my heart and soul into with my colleagues- Kushan Sarkar Arani Basu Debasis Sen and Trisha Ghosal. Special thanks to Sanatan Dinda for the excellent cover painting and Gulzaar saab for the special back cover note.”

In this book Mjumdar covers the successful journey of the cricket maestro, right from his teenage debut when he exploded into the global consciousness with his bloodied nose in Pakistan in 1989, before becoming the greatest batting sensation ever, transcending the boundaries of sport.

“It was not just the runs he scored. It was the manner in which he scored them – with matchless flair, scoring 100 international hundreds in the process. For a generation of fans who grew up in the 1980s and 90s, it was always Sachin and then daylight. Many of them have also passed on now, but the stories they shared with their children will always remain. On his 50th birthday it is time to add to these stories.The very best from India and beyond on the man they adore”, added Majumdar.
