Raisoni Group of Institutions through its G H Raisoni Sports and Cultural Foundation has started distributing Badminton Kits to 40 districts of Maharashtra in collaboration with Maharashtra Badminton Association. An event & press meet was orgniased at Shradha House in the presence of Sunil Raisoni, Chairman of RGI & Arun Lakhani - President, the Maharashtra Badminton Association to give details about this initiative. On the occasion Mangesh Kashikar, Secretary NDBA & MBA Tournament, Mohan Shah, Secretary Wardha District Badminton Association, Pradeep Gabada, Secretary Yeotmal District Badminton Association, Mahendra Hemane, Secretary, Gondia District Badminton Association, Bharat Balgat & Nitin Gabhne, Secretary Bhandara District Badminton Association , Jovel Chandekar, Secretary Chandrapur District Badminton Association,Mukesh Nagpure, Gadchiroli District Badminton Association & Dr Mrunal Naik, project Head, GHRSCF were prominently present.
Speaking on the occasion, Arun Lakhani - President, Maharashtra Badminton Association, said “Badminton has become the second most followed sports today. With recent success in Thomas cup the aspirations of our youngster is at its zenith. For keeping the talent pool replenished, it’s important to grow the game at grass roots, that is district level. To support such fundamental cause Raisoni group led by Shri Sunil Raisoni has stepped forward to help badminton at the district level. I thank him on behalf of all the district associations and upcoming players of Maharashtra for his generous gesture”
Sport is a leisure activity that is enjoyable as well as aids us stay fit and fit. However, the most difficult part is that it is regarded as basically a waste of our time, an unimportant activity. The idea of sports is that it improves our physical fitness, however the reality is that in addition to physical fitness it also helps us work in teams and socialize, to consider the situation prior to making a decision, to plan ahead of taking action, and to talk with our team members the best way to beat the opponent. All of these are essential for success in our professional lives as well and RGI strives to inculcate these essential activities in the young generation.
Speaking on the occasion Chairman RGI Shri Sunil Raisoni said “RGI always favours Sports programs that are based at schools which can trigger noticeable positive emotions and behaviour in adolescents and we believe that sports deserve as much focus as any other academic discipline. Teachers and educators stress that children should engage in exercise and realize that it is essential to stay healthy and be successful at school and at life.”
