PVR Inox Offers Cinematic Indulgence In July

Movies ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, ‘Kill’ and ‘Despicable Me 4’ and a re-release of ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ will be run in the theatres

July is shaping up to be a cinematic feast at PVR Inox. As the mega-blockbuster ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ continues to shatter records and set new benchmarks, two highly anticipated films are hitting theatres, promising to captivate audiences. Diving into the thrilling world of ‘Kill’, an intense action spectacle from Dharma Productions, touted to be the most violent Indian film yet, and join the mischief and mayhem with the family-friendly ‘Despicable Me 4’.

Kill

Brace yourselves for Kill, a bone-crunching action spectacle from Dharma Productions. This Indian train thriller, inspired by real-life dacoit heists, pits two commandos against a 40-man bandit army aboard a New Delhi-bound express. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, it stars newcomers Lakshya Lalwani and Tanya Maniktala, with Raghav Juyal making his chilling debut as the antagonist. Kill has already garnered widespread acclaim from its screenings at TIFF and other prestigious film festivals.

Drawing comparisons to the iconic John Wick franchise, the film has impressed producers so much that the creators of John Wick have secured the rights for a Hollywood remake even before it’s home-release. International action choreographer Se-young Oh (Snowpiercer, The Avengers) and action director Parvez Shaikh bring brutal close-quarter combat unlike anything seen in Indian cinema before. It promises an unparalleled experience of blood porn. The production required around 150 litres of proxy blood to accommodate all the intense action, featuring 33 goons and 52 different knives for the intense action sequences. With 80 per cent of the film set on a meticulously recreated train for authenticity and safety, Kill delivers relentless action, a compelling background score and an intense storyline. This film will grip you from start to finish. Don’t miss the adrenaline rush on the big screen.

Despicable Me 4

The cinema-goers can also prepare for more mischief and mayhem with Despicable Me 4 in Imax, 4Dx, Ice, Screenx formats. The upcoming film serves as a sequel to Despicable Me 3 (2017), marking the fourth main instalment and the sixth overall in the Despicable Me series. Gru, Lucy, and their girls — Margo, Edith, and Agnes — welcome a new family member, Gru Jr., who’s intent on causing chaos. The sequel also introduces the super-powered Mega Minions. The adventure escalates when Gru faces a new nemesis, Maxime Le Mal, and his femme fatale girlfriend, Valentina. Forced to go on the run, Gru forms an unexpected alliance with his new neighbours, the Prescotts, to protect his family.

Despicable Me 4 fever is real. The 30 June early access shows in Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai were sold out in minutes, proving the excitement for this beloved franchise.
