To commemorate the success of Chandrayaan 3 and to inspire the next generation of space enthusiasts, FeviCreate, the children's arts & crafts platform of Pidilite Industries, in collaboration with The Nehru Planetarium - Mumbai, IIT-Bombay and The Sky Explorers celebrated India’s first National Space Day. The five-day-long event was held at IIT-Bombay’s Convocation Hall. The event offered a unique and interactive learning experience through an exhibition and workshop designed to ignite the curiosity of young minds.
As an integral component of the event, FeviCreate provided over 2,000 schoolchildren from 15 schools with activity sheets as part of the specially designed kits. These kits were used by the young students to build paper models of India’s pride; the Vikram Lander, and the Pragyan Rover, both of which played a crucial role in the Chandrayaan mission. This hands-on activity allowed the students to not only learn about India’s space programs but also to engage with the scientific concepts behind them in a tangible and memorable way.
This inaugural exhibition also showcased astrophotography from national and international photographers, alongside working models of rockets, rovers, and satellites built by the Indian student community. These activities were curated to ensure that each student was left with a lasting impression of the possibilities that space exploration holds.
A Pidilite spokesperson expressed the company’s enthusiasm for being part of this meaningful association, stating, "Over the years, FeviCreate has been crafting happiness by working on holistic development of children through art & craft integrated learning and fun activities. The National Space Day was conceived with an aim to inspire the future of tomorrow—our young students. We are proud to have collaborated with IIT-Bombay, The Sky Explorers, and The Nehru Planetarium to create an exciting and memorable day that fosters scientific curiosity and innovation amongst the hearts and minds of the young generation. This collaboration with key institutions highlights our commitment to promoting the idea of 'learning by doing.' Our aim was to make this day not just about looking up to the stars but also about equipping our students with creative tools and inspiration to reach them."
By supporting such initiatives, FeviCreate continues to contribute to the development of a scientifically aware and ambitious generation, ready to explore and achieve the impossible.
