Wishes and Blessings, a Delhi-based NGO is hosting a fundraising concert with the Qawwali troupe, the Niazi Brothers. The event, called Jashn-E-Qawwali, which is a celebration of the art of Qawwals, is scheduled for 10 May 2024 at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi.
The NGO has been organising the fund-raising event, Jashn-e-Qawwali for the last two years with different objectives at its programmes. This third edition of the concert aims to raise funds for the expansion of the NGO’s newly launched initiative of Community Kitchen – WB Rasoi.
Geetanjali Chopra, Founder and President, Wishes and Blessings says “This will be our third edition of Jashn-E-Qawwali and we are extremely excited about it. The last two editions have been overwhelming for us and the kind of contribution we received from the earlier fund-raising programmes have helped us execute different projects across the country. This time, we are organising this concert with an aim to raise contributions to provide the necessity for any human being – the food. We have recently launched a community kitchen in NOIDA to serve the underprivileged and wish to expand this initiative. The funds we receive from this concert will directly be used in the WB Rasoi programme. By attending and contributing a ticket, you'll directly contribute to support Wishes and Blessings vital work. Your contribution will help us to empower those in need and make a lasting difference in countless lives.”
Shahid Niazi said, “It is our privilege to perform for the third time for a noble cause. The NGO has been working tremendously for the last 10 years and this is our bit towards Wishes and Blessings. We hope to perform our best at Jashn-e-Qawwali in Delhi on 10 May.”
