Medical Fair India 2019 Aims to Support Ayushman Bharat and Universal Healthcare

In its endeavor to make India a global hub for manufacturing and innovation in medical devices and healthcare space, Medical Fair India (MFI) 2019 started with a gala opening today at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.The global healthcare sector is closely watching India’s ambitious dream of Ayushman Bharat and Healthcare for all. The 25thedition of MFI 2019 aims to support this prestigious dream by fueling investments, promoting domestic manufacturing, setting new healthcare delivery benchmarks, creating new markets and connecting Indian healthcare sector with disruptive technologies. Global medical device manufacturers, industry bodies and association, healthcare experts, think tanks and policy makers from over 25 countries are participating in this three day medical trade show. MFI is organised by Messe Dusseldorf India, a fully owned subsidiary of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, world’s leading trade fair organiser and exhibitions service provider.
Addressing Medical Fair India in a message, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Hon’ble Minister of health and family welfare stated, “The Government of India, under the ambit of Ayushman Bharat is committed towards ensuring Universal Healthcare to all, a system which is devoid of any financial hardships and improving quality of life for people. Day 1 of Medical Fair Indian witnessed eminent dignitaries from government, international agencies and associations, Doctors from leading hospitals, health centres and other medical establishments, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) for rehabilitation aids, pharmaceutical industry veterans, Medical device manufacturers, distributors and traders, academicians amongst other dignified stakeholders.
Organised by Voice of Healthcare, 4th International conference at MFI 2019 successfully addressed some of the key topics such as Ayushman Bharat,AI and Future of Healthcare, Review of make-in-India strategy vis a vis medical devices and equipment industry, changing models of care delivery and disruptive technologies shaping the consumerization of health, rising prospects of Medical Entrepreneurship in India etc. in presence of industry veterans and policy makers. MFI 2019 is hosting a variety of attractions including CLIN LAB India, Future for Health (FTR4H), REHAINDIA and the Make in India Pavilion. Technology Mela by Kalam Institute of Health care technology where 75 innovative technologies from 20 academic institutions will be displayed for commercialization are few key attractions of MFI 2019.
