Lodhi Art District gets an Audio Guide for visitors to get an Immersive Art Experience

HopOn India announced the launch of an audio guide for the Lodhi Art District at Lodhi Colony, New Delhi on its App – HopOn India. Launched in association with Asian Paints and the St+art India Foundation, the audio guide provides an immersive experience not only of the art installations but also the nearby Lodhi Gardens.
The guides will be available in two formats – 1) a navigated tour of some of the key artworks in the Lodhi Colony followed by a detailed tour of the Lodhi Garden and 2) a soon to be launched mural by mural narration of the 55 artworks that will bring each artwork to life on pressing a key on the HopOn India App. Both tours are free to download and use.
The Lodhi Colony- Street Art, History and a Garden audio guide tour on the HopOn India app is an immersive experience of the quintessential Delhi-- a beautiful amalgam of the old and the new, the medieval and the modern. If you love colour, creativity and the unexpected, this HopOn India tour of south Delhi will be an absolute super experience!
Lodhi Art District is India's first public art district, initiated by St+art India Foundation in collaboration with Asian Paints and the support of Central Public Works Department. Since 2015, over 50 artists from across the globe reimagined the colony making Lodhi an important space for arts and culture in the city. With a wide array of streets artists representing unique styles, the art district presents the public with the contemporary face of India, along with showcasing the global sub-culture of Street Art. Furthermore, the art district also includes traditional Indian art forms like Gond and Miniature painting amongst other which are diminishing, as a way to reintroduce them to younger audiences. The Lodhi Art District also offers an open space for inviting people from all walks of life to explore the artworks, and also their own creative expression
Lodhi Colony and the adjacent Lodhi Garden wear their legacy lightly. HopOn India’s walk of this area first takes the visitor through the part of the government housing colony of Lodhi Colony, now better known as the Lodhi Art District, its walls embellished with artworks by some of the best- known street artists in the world. Then one walks to the Lodhi Garden which has more than a hundred species of trees but its highlight remains the monuments from Delhi’s Sultanate period.
Commenting on the launch Jaideep Kanse, General Manager Brands, Asian Paints said, “We at Asian Paints are happy to take the Lodhi Art District to the next level with the audio guides.
