KidZania has entered a partnership with Madhya Pradesh Tourism, this collaboration will introduce children to the heritage, culture, wildlife and adventures of the state in an entertaining and engaging way through state-of-the-art virtual and augmented reality experiences.
Under the partnership, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed to establish the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Experience Centre at KidZania in Mumbai and Delhi/NCR respectively. This initiative makes MP the first state to introduce an immersive tourism experience specifically designed for children. Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture, Managing Director, MP Tourism Board, Sheo Shekhar Shukla, emphasised on the importance of this endeavour in creating a generational bond with future visitors.
Shukla further stated, "The current generation has always been connected with the beautiful and scenic tourist destinations of Madhya Pradesh. This effort aims to create a generational bond with the future generation. Through engaging and entertaining methods like 3D, virtual reality, and treasure hunts, children will learn about the state's tourist spots. This will not only attract children to visit the state with their families but will also keep them connected with the state tourism throughout their lives."
Expressing his excitement about the partnership, Rahul Dhamdhere, Chief Marketing Officer, KidZania said, “KidZania is thrilled to partner with a government body and tourism board for the first time. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Experience Centre will offer a unique blend of entertainment and education, making it a comprehensive platform for children and families to explore and connect with the state's rich heritage. This initiative is expected to promote the state's attractive and unforgettable tourist spots and cultural heritage, leading to an increase in tourist numbers in the coming years.
KidZania, is known for its role-playing activities that empower, inspire and educate, attracts millions of visitors each year. This year, KidZania in Mumbai welcomed 3,45,000 visitors, while KidZania in Delhi NCR saw 3,40,000 visitors. The interactive learning centre is essential for brand building and reaching the next generation, with multinational brands such as Air India, Parle G, Britannia, TVS Motors, IDFC First Bank and Frooti having established experiential centres and workshops within KidZania.
