Jacqueline Fernandez Takes Ownership Stake In World Championships Of Legends

Meteora Developers, an entity in the business sector, has formally declared its acquisition of the England Champions cricket team, in collaboration with Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez. This strategic move positions the England Champions to make their mark in the World Championships of Legends (WCL), marking a union of cricketing icons and worldwide fan interaction.

The announcement took place during an event at Taj Downtown, Dubai, which was attended by the former England captain Ian Bell and other prominent figures from the sports fraternity.

Meteora Developers, Founder & CEO, Praveen Sharma, shedding light on the association with WCL and the goals for the England Champions and also the future of the franchise, mentioned, "Our entry into the World Championships of Legends is a pivotal moment for us. With cricketing greats like Ian Bell on our team, we're poised to build a legacy that will captivate and inspire English fans globally. This is just the start of a thrilling journey.”

Cricket star Ian Bell, an integral part of the England Champions, highlighted the prominence of this venture for players and the sport. Harshit Tomar, CEO of WCL, underlined the league's vision, emphasising its commitment to redefine the global cricket landscape. Tomar welcomed Meteora Developers and the England Champions into the WCL family, stating high expectations for the association. Bollywood celebrity and co-owner of the England Champions, Jacqueline Fernandez, expressed her delight at joining the cricketing world, "It's an absolute honour to be part of this incredible venture. The focal point of the event unfolded during the official signing ceremony, where Tomar from WCL, in collaboration with delegates from Meteora Developers and Fernandez, solidified their partnership. Within this ceremony, there was also the awaited introduction of the England Champions' logo and jersey, marking the commencement of a chapter for the team and its fanbase.

Welcoming the Meteora England Champions, Mohamedali Budhwani, Director of WCL, acknowledged England as a formidable contender boasting players of the calibre of Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, and Owais Shah, "It's going to be amazing to watch them play."

The World Championship of Legends (WCL), sanctioned by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), is set to present the T20 cricket spectacle at Edgbaston, United Kingdom, spanning from 3 - 13 July, 2024. A roster of cricket legends, including popular figures such as Yuvraj Singh and Kevin Pietersen, promises a blend of athleticism and nostalgic moments during this event.
