Hairstyling challenge Tigi Backstage Heroes engages 1200 aspirants

1200 aspirants across India applied to accept the challenge, and 100 made it to the shortlist. The shortlisted contestants then went through a training program conducted by Tigi Ambassadors giving them an inside look at the latest trends in the global industry. A total of 28 semi-finalists were chosen to present their looks for the season at the Grand Finale in Mumbai.
Further, International Tigi Experts, Ralf Boss, Regional Education Director TIGI (Asia), and Andy Cheong, Regional Education Director Tigi Copyright Colour (Asia), showcased the latest global cut and colour trends for the upcoming season. Ralf and Andy wowed audiences with their presentation, which included 7 looks and gave viewers a peek into Tigi’s collection. The artists also presented 3 high-drama fantasy looks showcasing Tigi Bed Head’s copyright colour.
Present at the event were an eminent panel of industry leaders; including Kapil Bhalla, Make-up Artist; Nandita Mahatani, Fashion Designer; Nonita Kalra, Editor, Harper’s Bazaar; Seema Jerajani, Celebrity Hair Stylist and Make-up Artist; Bina Punjani, Hairstylist and Owner, Bina Punjani Hair Studio; and Apeni George, Hairstylist.
Riddhi Shah was announced as the Grand Winner, while Lekha Bangera, Riddhi Shah, Avdesh Yadav, Prasenjit Das, Anas Ahmed, Mohammed Nazim, Jesse Shimphrui emerged as the winners from the seven categories. Riddhi will soon embark on a 7 day all-expense paid trip to the coveted Tigi Academy in London where he/she will undergo a 5-day training program with the best in the industry.
