Goa Rhythm & Blues Music Festival: A party strictly for do-gooders

Powered by monster.com, the two-day long Rhythm and Blues festival is scheduled to be held on 11th and 12th November at Taj Vivanta, Fort Aguada, Goa.

Believing strongly that music is a positive and participatory force in the creation of change, GF organizes the event with established and upcoming artists from India’s diverse pool of musical talent to perform in support of the critically ill under-privileged children under its care.

Entry to #GoaRnB will be for the supporters and donors of Genesis Foundation.

Speaking on the announcement, Prema Sagar, Founding Trustee, GF said, “We had a really great time in Goa last year and received great support from everybody across the country for GF’s cause. It gives us immense pleasure to bring another edition of Goa RnB. This time around, we bring to you an exciting line up of artists performing and joining hands with us in this beautiful cause of saving lives of children in need. These kids hold a very special place in our hearts and each one of us at Genesis Foundation, wish to bring a smile on their faces through initiatives like Goa RnB. This would be incomplete without our long-standing supporters joining us and therefore, I urge everyone to come join us in Goa, this November. Give life a chance, once again!”

The two-day music festival will witness a line-up of ten bands and musicians who will perform for an enthusiastic audience from across the country in the picturesque bay view lawns of Vivanta by Taj-Fort Aguada.

Last year, artists like The Aviv Pereira Project, Divine Raaga, Shilpa Rao, Sun, MoonArra, Ministry of Blues, The Doors Perception and Soulmate came out in full support for the cause and had set the stage on fire in its debut. This year, Goa RnB will witness new energies of artists.

Sanjay Modi, Managing Director, APAC & Middle East at Monster.com said, “Good music is always a delight to the ears and when it is aligned with the agenda of supporting a mission it becomes even more meaningful. We at Monster are glad to be a part of GF’s noble cause of supporting the underprivileged critically ill children. It’s important for each one of us to acknowledge our calling towards other individuals and I am thankful to Genesis Foundation for giving us opportunities to contribute towards the art of giving through such programs.”

GF has so far been able to support the treatment of 1000+ critically ill children. The milestone number not only reflects the initiatives and efforts undertaken by the Foundation in the last few years, but also highlights the magnitude of the situation of kids suffering from critical illnesses in our country and the need for more people to extend their support to aid medical treatment of these under-privileged children who are suffering and whose parents need financial support to get necessary treatment for medical intervention. The children supported by the Foundation are new born to the age of 18 years and belong to families with an income of less than Rs 10,000 per month and the parents are unable to afford treatment of these children suffering from serious life threatening ailments.
