Making a big-ticket investment, Exhicon is importing 15,000 sqm of new German hangar and other ancillary items stock for an aggregate consideration of USD 7,26,000 from LIRI Architecture Technology (Guangdong).
This investment is being made from the funds that Exhicon raised from its Initial Public Offer.
“Our event infrastructure division is expanding to serve the growing demand for outdoor event construction work in India. We constructed over two lakh sqm of temporary events in the last financial year using existing German hangars. With the addition of new event infrastructure stock, we will be able to further enhance our ability to execute large formatted exhibitions and events in India,” says MQ Syed, Chairman and MD, Exhicon Events Media Solutions.
The investment will be a very important addition to the company’s arsenal in creating event spaces, for large-scale experiences, in newer areas. It is estimated that at 15,000 sqm, the space can accommodate nearly 40,000-45,000 people. Exhicon informs that this hangar can be extended to 45,000 sqm of the 30/40/50 mtrs of pillarless span.
