EEMA to elect new President this month

During his two terms as EEMA President, Sabbas Joseph, who is also the founder of India's premier event agency Wizcraft International, has done a remarkable job in elevating EEMA's influence as India's apex body of the events industry by introducing several bold initiatives and radical changes. The next elected President will conceivably have big shoes to fill which remains a perceptible predicament within the association. The association's past presidents include Michael Menezes, founder of Showtime Group, Brian Tellis, founder of Fountainhead MKTG and Sabbas Joseph.

To facilitate the election of the next EEMA President, former President Brian Tellis has been unanimously chosen as the Chief Election Officer. The elections would be held in January 2018 and would be supervised by Ernst & Young’s (EY) team to ensure complete secrecy, process management, and unquestionable credibility.

Joseph explaining the details of the election of the new EEMA President said that to ensure maximum participation, the election would be held online with each member being given a non-changeable specific code, etcetera. He also stated that by a unanimous resolution the previously used proxy vote system has been rejected and will not be used in the election process this year.

“We do believe that the next president would have the vision, vigor, and support to take EEMA to its newest peak. Needless to say, whoever is fortunate to receive the choice of our members will be welcomed and given the utmost support to conquer new peaks. May the best woman or man win!” exclaimed Joseph.

Also, with much excitement, the President of EEMA announced that the 10th EEMAgine, EEMA’s annual convention event, is confirmed to be held in May 2018, at Jaipur, Rajasthan. “The Convenor of EEMAgine, Siddharth Chaturvedi, would be sharing the details of the venue and dates soon,” said Joseph.

EEMA is an association that brings together the country’s leading event management, sports management and brand activation companies, MICE and wedding planners, experiential marketers, entertainment professionals, artist management companies and international counterparts on the same platform.
