BW Legal World Grand Jury Meet held at India International Centre
In the run up to its first BW, Legal World Awards to happen on December 12 2019, there was a long, tedious, time consuming jury meeting held in the chill of Delhi winter on December 6. It was chaired eminent jurist and former judge of The Supreme Court of India Mr. Arjan Sikri, co-chaired by Mr. KTS Tulsi, Member of Parliament, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India, President of Criminal Justice. The others on the jury panel were - Mr. Sanjay Gulati, Group Vice President, Corporate Indirect Taxation of GMR Airports Ltd., Preeti Wadhawan, Director, Legal & Compliance of Macmillan Education, along with Rajeev Nair, Associate General Counsel, HP India and Pankaj Vasani, Executive President & Group CFO ( South Asia), Publicis Groupe.
It was a four hours of rigorous, brain storming session to pick the right and deserved winner. The juries shared their reasons as to why the candidate or the nominee was the right choice to win the coveted award - the BW legal world at a day long summit in New Delhi the following week. The choice of winners was unanimous. There were over 40 categories in which nominations were obtained by various law firms from across the country by the smallest to the biggest firms. The participation of which were open to all.
Jury members were glad to be a part of first Mr. KTS Tulsi said, " Its commendable that being a business magazine, not only corporates but civil lawyers are also recognized for their work with this award."
