The long awaited BW Disrupt Founders Forum 2023- Forum of India’s Top Founders along with the seventh edition of the 40 Under 40 and second edition of the 30 Under 30 Awards. These two awards are initiatives to recognise and celebrate the new founders of the startup ecosystem, has successfully concluded on 12 December, 2023 at The Imperial, New Delhi. BW Businessworld organised the event to engage the industry leaders in insightful conversations with the rising startup founders and to give a platform to share their ideas and strategy to the world.
The BW Disrupt Forum’s 40 Under 40 Awards had 40 achievers in the startup world who are under the age of 40 and have made an outstanding impact in the startup industry. While 30 Under 30 Awards had 30 entrepreneurs under the age of 30 and running their business with a remarkable performance on the startup grounds.
From innovation to sustainability, from creativity to efficiency, from the entrepreneurs' control room to India's economy, startups are undergoing a transformation that is changing the paradigm for businesses for long” was set as the theme for the event this year. The event held many important panel discussions to shed light upon huge issues of the industry.
Some important panel discussions were; ‘The Outlook For 2024’ had panelists such as Nalin Saluja, Co-founder and CTO, Virohan; Pawan Gupta, Co-founder and CEO, Betterhalf.ai; Arjun Gupta, Founder and CEO, Smart Joules and Akshay Verma, Co-founder, FITPASS who talked upon the startup industry's agenda for the year 2024 and also shared their insights on homegrown startups attracting global attention.
‘Elevation 360: Scaling Strategies For Businesses’ had panelists such as Ankita Jain, Co-founder and CMO, GoPaisa; Sourabh Deorah, Co-founder and CEO, AdvantageClub; Vinit Garg, Founder and CEO, Mylo; Kapil Shelke, Founder and CEO, Tork Motors and Mayank Gupta, Co-founder and COO, Zopper. They shed light upon the topic and explained how the startups are expanding across sectors in this tech-heavy age.
‘The USD 66 Billion D2C Market Servicing India's Consumer Boom’ included Gagan Anand, Founder, Scuzo Ice 'O' Magic; Malini Adapureddy, Founder and CEO, The Deconstruct; Paridhi Sekhri, Co-founder, TidyUp; Mihir Gadani, Co-founder, OZiva and Udita Bansal, Founder, TrueBrowns as panelists.
‘India's Decade: Decoding The Dos and Don'ts’ panel shared their insights and wisdom on creating and sustainainig a culture that encourages innovation and makes room for accepting slow growth before success in a constrained environment. The panel members were Rehan Khan, Managing Partner, Orios Ventures; Dr Ritesh Malik, Angel Investor and Founder, Innov8; Siba Panda, Founder and Managing Partner, ValuAble and Nandini Mansinghka, CEO of Mumbai Angels.
One special panel had the younger generation of startup founder and entrepreneurs which was led by Anurag Batra, Editor-in-chief of BW Businessworld himself, the subject was ‘Tech Tales: India's Techade From Founders' Lens’, which included panel of Vasudevan Chinnathambi, Co-founder, Ninjacart; Deepti Prasad, Co-founder and CMO, Spyne.aI; Anirudh Singla, Founder and CEO, Pepper Content; Bhavik Vasa, Founder and CEO, GetVantage and Shahan Sud, Senior Investment Manager, JAFCO investment (Asia Pacific). The panel focused around the narrative of India's pivotal tech evolution illuminating the highs, lows and breakthroughs.
