Author Haroon Rashid Bestowed With UN Karmaveer Chakra Award

Author Haroon Rashid has been honoured with the United Nations Karmaveer Chakra Award for his contribution to literature, art, culture and heritage across the globe.
The prestigious Karmaveer Chakra Award conferred by the International Confederation of NGOs (iCONGO) in collaboration with the United Nations is a tribute to A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of India. It recognises individuals globally for their relentless courage across various fields. Its past awardees are Dr. Verghese Kurien (The Father of the White Revolution), Major General R.S. Pannu, Film Director Subhash Ghai and many more.
Rashid from Jammu and Kashmir, a writer, speaker, poet, artist and National Vice Chairman Youth India at Mother Teresa International Foundation (representing 65 countries) was recently honoured with the globally acclaimed Karmaveer Chakra Award & Karmaveer Global Fellowship on at Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad.
Rashid is a world-famous author, and has written 'We Fell Asleep In One World And Woke Up In Another’ and 'Author Haroon Rashid Quotes'. While receiving the United Nations Karmaveer Chakra Award, he reinstated upon the importance of sustainability quoting, “One should never forget the fact that it's our responsibility to create a better world for our future generations."
