The Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB) has reportedly introduced an initiative which extends visa support specifically to Indian nationals opting to host their destination wedding in the Emirates.
According to reports, the ADCEB endeavours to establish the UAE capital as the epitome of luxury weddings. This strategic move, as per a recently released statement, is a pivotal component of Abu Dhabi's overarching tourism strategy for 2030, which aims to draw in 39.3 million visitors by the end of the decade.
With the wedding sector poised for exponential growth, the initiative aligns seamlessly with Abu Dhabi's broader objective of amplifying its tourism-driven revenue streams, projected to reach 90 billion AED by 2030.
India emerges as a prime focal point for Abu Dhabi's endeavours. By extending support tailored to Indian weddings, including the coverage of visa expenses, the ADCEB aims to position Abu Dhabi as a global leader in hosting weddings and celebratory events of grandeur.
"This initiative serves as a platform to showcase Abu Dhabi's rich cultural heritage, diverse entertainment offerings and awe-inspiring natural vistas to a global audience," emphasised the statement. Beyond the romantic allure, weddings wield significant economic influence, driving revenue for the hospitality industry, boosting venue bookings and hotel occupancy rates and stimulating various ancillary service sectors such as wedding planning, photography, catering and more.
