Glimpses of Ali Fazal & Richa Chadha’s Mahendi Ceremony In Delhi

Ali Fazal of Mirzapur’s lead character and Gangs of Wasseypur’s Richa Chadha have started their pre-wedding functions. The couple is set to tie the knot on October 4, said sources. On September 29, the couple celebrated their Mehendi function in New Delhi.

Both celebrities shared pictures of their Mahendi function on social media, bride captioned it, “#RiAli Mohabbat Mubarak” and the groom captioned, “RiAli. Tumko Bhi..." In pictures, Richa Chadha looks really beautiful in an embroidered pink lehenga designed by Rahul Mishra and Ali Fazal dressed in a white Angrakha by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

Richa and Ali have chosen a friend's home with sprawling lawns for their sangeet and Mehendi ceremonies. The place also has nostalgic as it is close to where Richa studied. Speaking about the decor of their pre-wedding festivities, it will be inspired by nature with elements including wood, florals and jute.

On Thursday, the couple shared a message for their fans on social media, “We have a message for you. Two years ago, we formalised our union and just then the pandemic hit us all, pressing a pause button on our celebrations and life." Ali Fazal added, "Like the rest of the nation, we two were struck by personal tragedies one after another. Now as we all enjoy this window of respite we are finally celebrating with our families and friends and we are so very touched by all the love and blessings that are coming our way. We offer you nothing but our love. Thank you."

Richa Chadha is likely to dress up custom-made outfits by Kresha Bajaj and Rahul Mishra for her pre-wedding functions. On the other hand, Ali Fazal will be seen in outfits by Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla and Shantanu Nikhil. The food menu will include Richa's favorite dishes from Delhi - Rajouri Garden Ke Choley Bhature to Natraj Ki Chaat.
