‘NMACC Presents Bachpan’, the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre’s annual celebration dedicated to children, is back with its second edition, having enjoyed immense popularity with kids and parents in its inaugural year.
Reflecting Nita Ambani’s vision of preserving and promoting art and culture for India’s future generations, the Cultural Centre has added more colour, rhythm, learning, and fun to ‘bachpan’ – a one-of-a-kind, multi-format programming for children between the ages of 4-12 years. This year, it spans diverse genres of music, dance, theatre, storytelling, and visual arts, along with other engaging intersections of fun and learning such as puppetry, robotics, circus acts, and Science theatre.
To be running from 3 - 11 August, 2024, ‘NMACC Bachpan’ will weave together a cross-section of artistic and educational genres in highly interactive formats, mirroring the curious spirit of our growing up years. With an enjoyable array of experiences conceived for children as well as parents, the festival offers accompanying adults the rare opportunity to take time out of their daily schedule and step into a universe of shared wonder.
Over six exciting days, little ones and their family members can create lifelong memories over immersive shows and activities at The Studio Theatre, The Cube, and multiple public spaces across the Centre. These range from musical theatre, robotics workshops, clown shows, circus acts, ballet, puppetry, drum circle, yoga, a game of ludo steeped in regional Indian art, storytelling sessions that bring alive timeless Indian fables, and much more.
Beyond the festivities of ‘Bachpan’, the Centre has other treasures for exploring. For parents who wish to introduce their children to the stories of Lord Krishna in a captivating and sensory format, ‘Bhakti: The Art of Krishna’ is a family-friendly exhibit at the Art House that will teach young audiences to view everyday spirituality from the lens of Raja Ravi Varma, Manjit Bawa, Raqib Shaw, and other legendary artists.
As an inseparable part of the centre’s larger ethos, the evolving programming of ‘NMACC Presents Bachpan’ promises to ignite a lifelong love for arts and learning in children.
