Deepak Pawar, Managing Director, Midas Next Media is all set to start his role as Secretary, EEMA for the second term.
His previous stint as secretary was appreciated as he undertook a lot of initiatives.
In an interview with Everything Experiential, Pawar spoke about his unopposed win and his vision for the second term.
Excerpts:
What would you attribute this win to?
EEMA members have become cautious about the performance and achievements of NEC and it’s office bearers. That was the very reason that members gave mandate to almost all new faces in the NEC.
Both individual and collective performance matters.
We realised that a massive Brand and community building for EEMA was required. On the digital marketing front I and GS teamed up and chalked out long term and short term digital marketing strategy. We took no time to onboard an agency to do these duties. On an average we have spent daily 2 hours on this brand-building exercise.
On the other side, an entire new EEMA website was developed with the best of the features. We went into this development in a phased-out manner. Even now we are working on phase 3 of website development. An entire new platform of EEMAGINE and EEMAX Awards was developed including payment gateway.
These are all above taking care of the basic responsibilities as a secretary. The biggest achievement is that as a team partner with the GS, we spend major time in building, grooming and strengthening the secretariat. We have built a strong secretariat team which was required to transform EEMA into a professionally managed association.
Lastly as soon as we were stuck in lock down, with support of the secretariat we worked day and night and are proud to say that we as EEMA were the quickest in the country to roll out webinar amongst all the associations. We delivered entertainment, health, knowledge and motivational webinars for almost 45 days non stop of highest standards and with massive engagement within our ecosystem.
What are your top priorities in this new term?
Tasks and responsibilities will be defined once NEC is in place. But asking me personally I would continue to take forward all the tasks I have mentioned. There are endless development possibilities. I would like to take them to the next level.
What are the big challenges facing the industry in your view?
Business in all aspects is the big challenge our industry is facing. Lot has been talked about and discussed. It will be repetitive if discussed more what is already known to all of us.
What would you like to say to EEMA members who look upto this association especially in these tough times?
There are issues which are collective and individual in nature. Both can be addressed through the EEMA platform. EEMA will play a role to enable not only our members but the industry at large to overcome these tough times.
