The Ninth Edition Of The Indian International Trade Fair and Summit, MSME Expo 2023 Held At Pragati Maidan

The ninth India International Trade Fair and Summit, MSME Expo 2023 took place at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. The three-day event started on 10th August and concluded on 12th August. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the event along with the Trade Commissioner of Russia, Alexander Rybas.
Rajnish Goenka, Global Chairman of MSME Development Forum informed that MSME Development Forum (MSME-DF) is an ISO-certified non-profit organization.
Goenka said “MSME-Development Forum is working with a mission to accelerate the economic growth of the country, generate maximum employment by promoting exports, and spread awareness about the opportunities to make India the world's best manufacturing, sourcing, exporting, and investment destination. Acting as a catalyst between the government and industry. This Forum promotes small-scale enterprise by continuously organizing exhibitions, trade fairs, summits, road shows, and workshops along with business delegations in India and abroad.”
This time the pavilion of Jammu and Kashmir comprises more than 60 handloom manufacturers who are exhibiting and selling their products.
Speaking on the theme 'Indo-Russia Economic Partnership: Opportunities and Challenges' on the second day, Russian Deputy Trade Commissioner Gravia said that there is immense potential for trade and cooperation in the MSME sector between the two countries. He underlined the close bilateral ties between the two countries, talking about Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi being very influential in Russia. Sharing their experiences and views, the Russian delegation accompanying Gravia said that Russia is ready to provide all kinds of facilities to Indian businessmen here.
Russian Customs, Banking officials, and representatives of Chambers of Commerce present in this Global Summit Session satisfied the queries of Indian businessmen who wanted to establish and expand their business in Russia and also answered their questions in an open house.
Ambassadors of Argentina, Djibouti, Lesotho, and Myanmar were also present at the event. The Russian delegation included Timur Vakilov from the Russian Export Center, Nikita from Saber Bank (branch) in India, Sergey Mitreykin from Gazprom Bank, Vitaly Ankohin from Federal Customs Service, Anna Rogovishsky from Business Russia and Roman Matharu from Oporo Rosil.
In the third session of the second day, panel discussions were held on ways to strengthen the participation of MSMEs in PSUs. This session was moderated by economist Sharad Kohli in which Atul Sobti, Director General SCOPE & Former CMD- BHEL; Harimohan, Former CMD- Indian Ordnance Factories; S. Saxena, Air Vice Marshal (Retd.); and Anurag Sharma, Former Director (Onshore)- ONGC gave useful inputs and guided the MSMEs with logical suggestions.
The third day featured sessions by Adesh Gupta, Ex-president of BJP Delhi, and Sh. Shyam Jaju, Ex National Vice President, BJP; followed by a Vote of thanks by Economist Sharad Kohli, the national Board Advisor of the MSME DF; and Ruchin Kohli, Marketing Director of MSME DF, Founder and Director of Occasion Xperts Pvt Ltd.
